Mark Cooke

As President and Director of Financial Planning of Heritage Financial, Mark Cooke has helped build a firm around a single inspiration—to help people enjoy financial well-being and achieve their financial goals. Mark grew up with loved ones who were unable to manage their money well, and that experience shaped his desire to help others. Today, at Heritage Financial, he enjoys making a difference in people’s lives every day as a wealth advisor and managing partner. He particularly enjoys the excitement that comes from focusing on goals that excite and challenge clients, all while helping them make a difference in their community or the world.
With over 17 years as a financial advisor, Mark started his working life in an entirely different career—that of full-time musician. With a master’s degree in music and ministry, he also had a desire to help people. He soon realized he could combine his musical gifts of creativity with his desire to make a difference by helping families and individuals creatively manage their financial futures.
A resident of Gainesville, Mark and his wife, Cynthia, enjoy time with their extended family. In addition, Mark enjoys dining out with friends and performing on trumpet. In fact, he has played trumpet with the First US Army Band and the 202nd Kentucky National Guard Band. Mark also enjoys thriller and legal novels and classic political TV dramas like The West Wing. Mark has served on several non-profit boards in support of his local community.
